Pauls second letter to Timothy could be described as a farewell letter to his beloved understudy. It has a tone of finality to it. Here Paul is remembering how he instructed Timothy both by word and example. Timothy followed Paul through many journeys and saw the Apostle suffer for the sake of the Gospel. Verse 14:
